Shareholders recently voted to OK a merger between Software companies Adobe(makers of the infamous Reader/Acrobat) and Macromedia(Macromedia Suite). Overall this is a great idea. Adobe is the creator of the .pdf file structure which is an immense help for space saving online file transfers as well as several other internet related software packages, while Macromedia is the creator of ColdFusion, Flash, and the list goes on.
The merger could create one heck of a Internet software mega-giant. As long as the Macromedia software doesn’t start working the same as Adobe Reader(which is to say not very well, try foxit) then the software that these two put out as a combined company should be spectacular.
