There was so much talk about the authority slider on technorati yesterday. And really who cares? Sure a few people seem to think that it’s a good idea. I have to admit that I don’t see the point. It’s useless. I agree with Stowe Boyd on this one. If Technorati updated the links on a regular basis, then it might become more useful. As it stands though, Technorati hasn’t updated the links in at least 5-6 days. Stowe feels that his rank is about half what it should be. I’ve added at least 5-6 links.
So right now, if I search based on authority, the numbers are all skewed anyways. It’s a tool for the gatekeepers anyways. 😉
