Not With, Because.

Jeneane has a nice post all about a quote from Doc Searls on Open Source that applies beutifully to Blogging and Blogs.  The quote is:

It will eventually become clear to everybody that there is far more money being made because of open source than with open source. This is what we have to remember every time somebody asks, “How can you make money with (open source product)?” The answer is, “You don’t make money with it. You make money because of it.”

What a splendid way to put it.  And it is in most cases completely true.  There are those that only intend to make money with their blog.  Others like Doc, Dave, Robert, and to some extent even myself intend to make money because of it.  As a result of it.

It’s a relationship driven income.  Here’s to relationship growth.
