HDR photos

Some who know me, know that I am a amateur photography geek.  My father and I used to have a somewhat decent darkroom and the bug just hasn’t ever left.  I currently don’t really have the technology available(high quality digital camera) to try out the HDR technique, but I certainly will someday and it just might be a fun tool for enhancing the images that I take.  Check out the links over on GeekLimit and be sure to check out the flickr streams at the top of their post.

  1. I didn’t know you were a shutter-bug. Anyway, thank you for pointing me to this. I honestly didn’t really look at too many examples of it before I “knew” I had to try this. Not exactly sure if I did it right, but here’s my first (without a tripod, and only using 3 different stops).

I’ll definetly be taking more (with the tripod, though)! Let me know if you want to borrow my camera, to try it yourself, Shane.

hmm… Looks good Tom. I think it gains some to have all 7 different exposure levels, but your’s turned out pretty well with just the three. My Minolta Maxxum 5 (film SLR) has a bracketing function and I always get my film developed to disc… I wonder if I couldn’t do that and play around with it a little…

I’ll have to give it a try.
