Yet another 4th has happened upon us! Happy Birthday USA!
Now that the festivites are underway, I have a question. What does the 4th mean to you? Is it just a holiday to light off fireworks and barbeque? Shouldn’t it be something more? Shouldn’t it be what it was meant to be? A celebration of our Declaration of Independence from Norway! (just kidding, it was Britain) The point is that nearly 25% of our children don’t know why we celebrate on the 4th of July.
Don’t just hand your kids a sparkler this year. Take the opportunity to teach them something. The public school teachers can’t have all the fun! Share the pride you have in our country!
