Like many of people often do, I lament about my financial status from time to time. I don’t think that I’ll ever make enough money that I will feel comfortable with what I make.
Also like many people, I strive to make things better for myself. Many times by reading books like The Automatic Millionaire and then being disappointed. I wasn’t.
The automatic millionaire is a book with solid principles. The author sincerely tries to express just how easy it can be to make yourself a millionaire. He makes doubly certain that you don’t perceive his “secret” as a “get rich quick scheme” and it’s not. Even properly executed, the plan that David lays out will take years. Yes, you read that right. Years. It’s a solid plan.
The plan is based on principles like Pay Yourself First that most of us already know, but do not execute on.
The book is well written and a very quick, easy and pleasurable read. It’s not dry like most of the financial books you will read in your lifetime. David Bach actually makes it simple to read and easy to understand. If you’re in the market for a good personal finance book, go down to your local bookstore and pick up a copy. Or surf on over to Amazon and pick a copy up there.
