FTM= For the Moment.
It’s amazing what a quick email to tech support will do. Especially since they deny any problems whatsoever. I believe it went something like this “must be a script problem”. Which was all well and good, except for the part where none of the scripts had been modified in any way, shape or form. But it did mysteriously start working again. Still just as slow as it has been before. I’ll be using the blog like normal and am going to up the db backups to a little more frequent intervals so that I can just take the most recent backup and restore it on the new host when the switch becomes final.
In the mean time, let me express how horrible I think that April Fool’s has become. Some are even posting on the days preceding the 1st. Carried away if you ask me.
I might be showing my age here, but I remember when tech support actually provided support. It was such a radical concept, too bad those days are long over.
It’s unfortunate that many providers take a bite too too for them to chew, and then they choke; if only these damn servers would stay alive 24/7 and software wrote itself! Wouldn’t it be a much nicer world?
My experience has shown so far that it’s better to pay a bit more, but get exactly what you’ve asked for ..
I have 100 domains on Godaddy and i can say that this company is very reputable.’;:
