One of the organizations that I’m a bit enamored of, and indirectly involved in (My wife is on the board), is the local Humane Society. The James River Humane Society. And right now, they’ve got some pretty cute puppies and kittens available. If you’re in the area and have the room, you should consider adopting one of these cuties. Here’s a list of all of their available animals.

Even if you’re not in the area, please consider adopting your next pet rather than feeding the money into the puppy mills. Many of these animals are just as friendly and wonderful as anything that is “purebred”. Some are more so.

here in Germany there is now need too. Right after Xmas many people give away their pet-presents, so the poor small animals need a new home. Please think of em.
