Even 18 years from now, you'll still feel as if you could have done more. That's not a problem, it just comes from wanting the best for our kids. My oldest just turned 18, last month. That and we took the prenatal class at the hospital and they showed several clips of childbirth. If that doesn't convince someone, I don't know what will. :) NG:

I remember hating every second of both of my pregnancies but forgetting all of the agony once all ten fingers and all ten toes were accounted for. You are in for the adventure of your life...there is no way to completely prepare. All the best...and tell your wife that epidurals are the be-all end-all when it comes to labor pain. Really. Natural labor and delivery is just left of insane. :) This is so exciting.
